A new window opens on KSW Microtec at Cartes 2011

Date: 11/11/2011

KSW Microtec AG, one of the world¹s
leading suppliers of RFID components and inlays for secure cards and
eDocuments, is showcasing its wide-ranging solutions and latest developments
in secure prelaminate technologies for Access Control, eGovernment,
eTicketing, Asset Management and ePayment applications at Cartes and
IDentification 2011 in Paris, from November 15th to 17th.

Having achieved a significantly increased presence in the ID security
marketplace in eGovernment, transport and enterprise sectors over the last
year, KSW is reinforcing this with an all new stand at Cartes, built
specifically to accommodate live demonstrations and meeting opportunities
for customers and industry partners. It also allows for customized
segmentation into each business sector with the relevant product solutions.

On-stand demonstrations include new developments in KSW¹s HF and UHF
Thinlam® family, with a strong focus on eGovernment ID solutions where
security, performance, robustness and card finish are important. Thinlam® is
a high-end inlay component technology with a thickness down to 200µm,
allowing for the integration of multiple security features. The technology
is also ideal for eHealth applications and KSW¹s new ClearLam® inlay
specifically designed for health cards, will also be demonstrated live at
Cartes 2011.

Also on show are the latest enhancements in prelaminates for KSW¹s thinner
Mobile Phone Sticker, as well as new developments in NFC labels to show
KSW¹s leading position in this area. Moreover new standard inlays will be
presented with a standard IC of 75µm, for deployment in areas such as
eTicketing. All KSW¹s standard products are underpinned by the highly
durable and reliable nature of the inlays further endorsed by a more than
1000 hours climate stress results, showing an expected longevity of at least
10 years. This makes them ideal for library and archiving applications with
expectations for long-term durability.

³Security, added value and durability are our watchwords. We look forward to
demonstrating these strengths feature within all our products. Customers and
partners are warmly welcome to our booth at Cartes. We will find the ideal
solution to your current and future needs, ³ says Thomas Hitzer, CEO of KSW
