CPV module in Collis EMV Personalisation Validation Tool qualified by MasterCard
The Collis EMV PVT is up-to-date with the latest version of specifications from MasterCard. Professional testing of personalised MasterCard EMV/PayPass™ cards is essential to ensure global acceptance of cards. Collis’ newly developed CPV module checks if MasterCard cards are correctly personalised according to the latest MasterCards’s specifications.
The new MasterCard CPV 3.3 module ensures compliance with the following MasterCard standards:
M/Chip Requirements – March 2009
M/Chip Personalization Data Specifications and Profiles – June 2009
PayPass Personalization Data Specifications – July 2009
M/Chip Card Personalization Standard Profiles - February 2010 (M/Chip and PayPass).
These standards have been regrouped by MasterCard in the version 3.3 of the CVP Test Requirements. According to the MasterCard specifications release cycle, no update of these requirements is anticipated before end 2010.
The CPV module within the Collis EMV PVT enables issuers of MasterCard cards to speed up their personalisation process and reduce their time-to-market. The Collis EMV PVT, with the MasterCard CPV 3.3 module, maintains its status as the most thorough, comprehensive testing tool available in the market today.
Christian Delporte, Head of Chip Engineering at MasterCard Worldwide commented:
"We are pleased that the tools offered by Collis, a recognized player in the chip testing market, enhanced their qualified CPV testing tool to support the latest MasterCard CPV Test Requirements. This qualification broadens the offer of test tools available to MasterCard issuers, card manufacturers and personalization bureaus. We are confident that MasterCard issuers will directly benefit from this tool upgrade. MasterCard will inform its customers about qualified test tools via the MasterCard OnLine™ website."
Collis CEO, Dirk Jan van den Heuvel added: “Collis is proud to continue maintaining its market leading status for personalisation validation testing with the award winning Collis EMV PVT. This test tool is of great value to all its users including MasterCard member banks and card issuers. Collis will continue to offer the most up-to-date test tools to the market to ensure that all issuing parties can adhere to MasterCard (test) specifications and issue correctly personalised, interoperable cards for global use. ”
